Attention Writers: Please Read
Dear Writers,
We’ve learned that an unauthorized individual is purporting to be an "agent/publisher" at Adams Literary—and, after crafting both a fraudulent agency agreement and fraudulent invoice with our logo and address, has requested payment from an aspiring author. This individual is not affiliated with Adams Literary and is not authorized to communicate in any manner on behalf of Adams Literary.
If someone other than a member of our team below contacts you about representation, please know that it is a scam. We encourage you to report these illegal activities to us—and to the authorities—so we and others in the publishing community can help identify and end these scams.
While this situation is sadly not unique to us, all of us at Adams Literary take these matters seriously and strongly condemn such fraudulent activity. It harms not only our agency, but the broader author community which we proudly serve.
Adams Literary, like any reputable agency, would never request payment from an author for publishing services, nor do we solicit aspiring authors. Further, while this may change in the future, we have been and are currently closed to submissions, and are only accepting new clients upon referral from trusted sources.
Legitimate Adams Literary emails all come from @adamsliterary.com, not gmail or other service providers, and only from members of our team, below. If you have questions or concerns about the authenticity of an email purporting to be from Adams Literary, please contact Anna Munger at info@adamsliterary.com.
We wish you a safe and successful writing career.
