Since 1998, Gene Hult has had more than 95 novels, novelizations, non-fiction books, iPad storybook apps, and novelty books published for children and young adults, many of which were published under the pseudonym J. E. Bright. He is a full-time freelance writer.
Gene's main genre interests are fantasy, science fiction, action-adventure, and romance. He is comfortable with all age ranges and formats, including picture books, novelty books, storybooks, ready-to-read books, early chapter books, middle-grade, and YA.
He lives in a sunny apartment in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, with his cranky but cuddly female cat, Mabel, and his sweet but dopey male cat, Bernard.
